I've been tiring of this pattern in anime of guys being routinely beaten in a comedic way by girls. It's in nearly every anime I've watched.  And it's usually over the guy doing something as innocuous as talking to another girl, or existing while a girls clothes fall off inexplicably.  Since he has eyes and saw her body, he's a perv and must be punched into the stratosphere. Even overpowered main heroes are somehow violently beaten up by females when they step out of line or show the slightest hint of sexual interest. It's like the writers briefly suspend the rules of battle so that the girl can do this. It's getting really bad to where I can't deal with light hearted comedy or action anime for more than a few episodes.  They will just interject jump cuts of a girl being annoyed and stomping a kids nuts because he tripped and saw up her skirt. They still pull this unfunny shit so often. And it's not a coincidence. I remember a scene in full Metal panic fumofu where the entire class erupts into a brawl. But I looked closely and only saw guys hitting guys, girls hitting guys, girls hitting girls. Not one guy in all that chaos even accidentally struck a girl student. That's how meticulous they are about it.

Another thing I see in a lot of comics and other fiction is more and more girls showing up iconic male combatants in terms of skill and strength.  It's often shown in sparring scenes or inconsequential skirmishes. It's just becoming so ridiculous. You know if a female is in a fight she's not gonna get beaten so it's not even interesting to see it play out. Either remove them from the story or hold them to the same rules as the guys. It's like all females have the star in super mario bros. They are untouchable.  Unless of course we want to portray a man as an evil abusive fuck. Then he can hit a girl so we know he's despicable.

What I'd like to see more in anime:

-Guys defending themselves when girls attack them for stupid reasons

-Girls losing in fights against guys at least as often as they win

-Hoards of faceless female goons who only exist to be dispatched and humiliated by heroes to show how skilled at combat they are

-Girls stepping in for guys when they are attacked by other girls. Instead of watching/laughing.

I mean it's fantasy. Why not fantasize about mythical nawalts that aren't constantly shitty to males?
