It's a good theory but I have my own. The MOST COMMON sexual fantasy that women have is: RAPE.

It is like walking around and everyone you see has really nice boobs, or a really nice ass, you would be thinking about sex all the time. Women are thinking about sex all the time, especially being RAPED. With this understanding, everything else women say and do makes sense.

I see it as a desperate attempt to keep the victim spotlight on women in a culture where victimhood has become a currency with many different groups competing for it.

they perpetuate rape culture by playing the passive/submissive victim card , still clinging to the antiquated ideas that men are supposed to approach and seduce them, and judging men for their performance . Then they complain they only attract really aggressive rapists types who mistreat them. Bitch you asked for equality its time to stop being a victim and take a more proactive role in your mate selection process.

It may very well be a way to keep the market value of their cooters high, but IMHO that's a side effect of the real reason they use it: shutting down the opposition.

When someone hears the word "rape" it bypasses their cortex and dives down into the lizard brain. This shuts down critical thinking abilities and taps into the species preservation nodes underneath, getting everyone to rally to the woman (listen and believe) and strike fear into the heart of anyone who dares to challenge her.

Think about it: how many sentences does an average feminist get through without mentioning "rape" in a debate? They sometimes throw it out multiple times in one statement. Even if it's a blatant lie, you're a rape apologist if you say anything. Once you have this unassailable position from which to control the message, taking over a society is just a matter of time.

That sounds like a strong argument. I'd add the fact that they are extremely attention starved and love being the center of social circles. I think recently, becoming a victim not only gives you attention/money/security, it ensures that you become an authority on subjects because you have been involved in those issues personally. Too much credit is given to these 'authorities' and not enough on statistics.

The way modern arguments and protests are structured goes something like this:

"You can't talk about my issues since you don't have to deal with them." "You won't understand because you are privileged." "Just accept whatever I say because a group of like minded individuals has chosen me as their leader and thus I have status so w/e I say is fact." "If you are skeptical, you are as bad as those people who commit atrocities against me"

Victim complex culture is so absurd.

There's a couple forces at work here. First, feminists promote it because it serves their purpose of removing all responsibility for sex from women.

Second, it gives women more power to screw over any man by simply making a false statement. Society does the rest. All you have to do is do a little research on how anyone with a sex offense is treated. God forbid anyone is put on the unconstitutional registry. Your only option then is to either live in the woods or move to a country that will treat you like a human being again

I think that Karen may be off base this time. While I have no idea why women went from a dating culture to a hookup culture, as the gatekeepers of sex, they undeniably did. One of the drawbacks is that hookup culture is not very romantic and claiming rape is their path to revenge for a less than ideal experience.

The term rape culture did not exist just a few decades back and according to stats, there is less rape now too, so why more focus on rape now?

Incidentally, rape is very rare just as rare as a woman dying falling-off stairs, yet who have heard of Stair Culture? No money in it, you see. (Per FBI & Mortality Rates = 1/2 of 1%).

The reason behind most of these red flags is always money and control. Create a new rape problem (1in5) and bingo new laws are formed like "Not Alone", Yes Means Yes, Dear Colleague Letter, etc. More women centers, books, brochures, you name it, but most importantly it nails males (a bonus for the mate-hating feminists3).
