It’s a coping mechanism. Fat girls, single moms, and general bitches will have extremely high standards because deep down they know they’re less desirable or down right unwanted because of their flaws. So they set the bar super high that way when no one meets their standards (no one wants them) it’s not because they’re fat or because they have a child/baggage, or because they have a shit personality. Because of they’re standards it’s now because no one measures up/ no one is good enough for them. It’s a lie they tell themselves and their friends and unfortunately there’s such a “you go girl” circle jerk going on they truly whole heartedly believe it.

I think it is a bit deep seated narcissism. For example, this one woman I know is very fat and has a butch hairstyle. She calls herself "Bourgie" (which is that terrible, modern bastardized version of "bourgeoisie"), fabulous, a queen and etc etc. She also has a huge sense of self worth that is unwarranted. She cheated on her husband, but makes fun of sluts and whores. She switched majors and universities multiple times, but mocks people that are uneducated (she is 29 and still working on her bachelors). She has claimed to be a lesbian, but then will mock gays and dykes (but defend them when someone says something). She will also mock fat people for being fat without realizing she is doing the same thing - eating too much and finding every excuse to not exercise.

I think this all started when her mother, another land whale, saw that her daughter was pretty. To be fair, the woman i am referencing has a pretty face. From then on her mother always took pictures (some.... questionably provacative for a girl under the age of consent) and posted them around the house. This, all while the boy (the mother's son) had... like 2 pictures in the house, maybe? Why? He wasn't very good looking at all.

As a consequence, the girl got the idea that she was just beautiful and everything she did would get praise.

Now that she is older, fatter, and already broke through the wall several years ago when her weight spiraled out of control, she still thinks she is amazing. She has the "princess" syndrome that i see with a lot of fat bitches.
