Some things have to be experienced in order to be believed, understood and assimilated. I'd frequently read and hear stories of men getting treated like trash by women they loved (or even worse, were married to), yet I had to go through a similar experience to realize and finally understand what kind of mentality leads to such scenarios.

I recently cut ties with a girl whose insufferable attitude I only tolerated solely due to the prospect of sleeping with her (only logistics were preventing this from happening). Fortunately, I didn't buy her anything, and didn't do anything special for her beyond a recording of me playing the guitar (somehow charms girls very easily) but I still wasted quite a few months on a girl that would have made me very miserable if we had ended up together. In other words, this is the kind of woman that makes a man either cheat, kill himself, or fly a small airplane into her house.

I feel relieved and the only thing that is missing her is, if I am honest to myself, my body. Both my soul and mind went "RUN!" after the first times we interacted, but my lower instincts thought they knew better and almost made me date someone who'd make me very unhappy. The most amusing aspect about this whole experience is that it happens to me after having read a lot of content on the manosphere. If I were an "unplugged Beta" (as the guys on TRP say) I'd probably be in a much worse place right now. I think every man has to go through this at least once, and learn the lesson. As some guys here say, our instincts are what keep us going back to the plantation.
