Great. Do you also have classic cars? I would love to at one point make or buy a 1950's hotrod Citroen Traction Avant. That model is imo very beautifull; but I would like to trun it into something with more modern-day power and a little bit more comfort.

Yes, it's more hassle. I think on should only go the classic route; of one likes to work on that car oneself or one doesn't mind paying plenty in maintenance costs to a local garage whom will give the car the regular care.
My brother has a 1960 Buick; and there is always something to repair/upkeep. But he is a car mechanic, and likes working on it. I once had a 1980's Mercedes, as a 2nd car. I didn't like working on it and didn't havea garage. And I didn't have the money to spend on great maintenance by a car mechanic. Then it's not so great to have, I noticed. I saw the car going down in overall quality, and disliked that. Thus decided to sell, at some point.

Not really, I can’t speak for classic cars since I don’t own one. But my car never broke down or having any problems. I only brought it to dealership to change its oil or tires. So far so good.

I daily drove a 1970 Chevelle for awhile.
I think the difference all depends on how well you can work on your own car. Since I had built and dropped the motor in it, nothing scared me to DIY, so it was pretty easy for me to maintain.

I always thought about getting replicas for a gt40, ferrari p4 and other classic exotics that are worth a lot to drive them to the ground. Nothing will be lost cause they're replicas, but you get the experience of driving an amazing machine.
