A primary school teacher has been sentenced to five years in prison for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old pupil because she wanted to make the "chronically depressed" boy “happy”.

... How do you get it through your head a prepubescent kid who probably is not sexually attracted to you, that sexually assaulting a kid would make them happy? Just... what?

Yes, I think there have been a lot more this year than any other year, but not about to go look the stats up, I'm sure they're somewhere.

I used to run a news feed for a media company (the type of stuff that loops on TVs in office building's etc.) And I would come across these female teacher / male student things ATLEAST once a week. Set a Google alert for this, it's incredibly common.
