Recently a “financial advisor” came to speak in a course I was taking. He told the class that getting married was the No. 1 best way to improve your finances. I literally yelled “No, that is bullshit” loud enough for all 78 students and the “financial advisor” to hear. Fuck that.

Tax breaks is the only one benefit of getting married and it's still KNOCKED OUT by immensely high household expenses that the husband is overwhelmingly (if not entirely) responsible for paying up.
