It took my ex-wife six years to confess after I caught her cheating. When it happened it was "I felt lonely and we were going through a hard time." We were going to have a family and all that but I put the brakes on it. She turned to me recently and said "I wish I never did that, it's ruined my life." Then I left her soon after.
