There's probably not that many examples and I'm only going off this as anecdotal, but judging by how well my divorced brother takes care of my nephews, there may be hope.

Foster is easier, you’re paid for it and adoption is free. It’s a no cost solution vs. surrogacy, that will cost around $30k and has associates risks.

There aren't legal barriers there like adoption has. The problem is that as a single dad you'll have a hard time taking care of the kid at first. You work all day, so you're basically getting an infant and immediately hiring someone else to take care of them so you can see them in the evening hours.

Adoption may be a better idea, particularly if through the foster care system, though I hear it is hard if not impossible for a single man to do this. Maybe doing it through the foster system is easier than traditional adoption though. It is also a good 'test' run because you can see how it actually feels raising a kid and if you aren't into it, change your mind.
