If they can lie about the rape, they can lie about everything else too... and per the Kavanaugh accusations, it doesn't matter how absurd or ambiguous they are about the details; or if others they themselves claim were witnesses state that the context claimed never happened.

Not saying that will happen to just anyone, much less everyone... obviously the push-promotion of the absurd allegations against Kavanaugh are entirely politically motivated, and due to the specific circumstances that MAKE him a target.

But the "Pence Rule" -- actually probably better labeled the "Pence Personal Policy" -- in and of itself, especially since it is so incredibly easy to "slip up" (intentionally or not*); is NOT really all that effective of a bulwark.

* In part because YOU are not always in control of the circumstances, and the actions/choices of others CAN all too easily "violate/disrupt" your policy. To wit: I worked with a youth group back in the late 1980's, early 1990's (pre cellphone era) and even though we had a "two+ deep adult leader" policy/rule, which I did my absolute best to strictly adhere to and "enforce"; nevertheless there was MORE than one occasion where the OTHER adult leaders "skived off", one after another, or even in a group (and sometimes without notice).

On one occasion -- basically the "last straw" as far as I was concerned (and one of the reasons I quit) -- they including the pastor of the sponsoring church and two of the elders who were also FATHERS of some of the boys) actually left me ALONE as the only adult with a pack of teenage boys numbering MORE than I could even fit in my car; the ONLY way I was able to even get all the kids home was that one of the teenage boys had recently (like a week before) gotten his driver's license, and had, unsurprisingly, chosen to drive his (unreliable, and not exactly "safe") POS vehicle to the campout; so we packed HIS car full as well and I carefully followed him back & around as we dropped off the kids at their homes.

This is actually a common thing that men who don’t want any accusations or gossip coming their way do. But they did it usually when the girl was underage. I remember I had a high school teacher once take us on a class trip. It was more of a small group trip with about 5 students. So he drove us all home. The last two students he dropped off were me and a female student. My house was closer on the way than hers but guess what, we drove right passed my home to drop her off first. Then he dropped me off last.

At the time I didn’t get it but it quickly started to make sense as I got older. A male high school teacher alone in a car with a underaged female student is possibly the worst position for the teacher to be in. He needed a witness. That was me unwillingly.

The messed up thing now is that men need to apply this tactic when dealing with adult women as well. Frankly I don’t give a shit. Women did it too themselves. If they cry wolf this damned much, the only thing for us to do is watch them. I also will never be alone in a room with a woman. Either my witness is another person or a camera.

Correct, look at Kavanaugh in the last several days.... starting to look like the false claims aren't going to bring him down, now they make it an issue of impartiality, cause he said mean things about dems. Think about it. Let's say you were never in a room alone with someone. How do you prove you were never in a room alone with someone.

You can't, its impossible. That's why the burden of proof is always on them to prove it did happen, because the opposite is not possible.
