A guy came over to fix our central vac yesterday. He spent about an hour and told us all the ins and outs of the machine -- how the tubing works, how the motor works, how to find clogs, how to declog, how to safely store the tubes, etc.
Halfway through it dawned on me that someone else would consider this mansplaining and would tell him to shut up... but you know what? Even if I wasn't particularly interested in the material, it was clear that this guy knew his stuff and had valuable information to share.
I kept quiet, listened to what he had to say, and actually learned something. The concept of mansplaining is one of the more irritating things, because it says to me that the person throwing that label down isn't interested in hearing what people have to say or learning.

When someone uses the term "mansplaining", it means get these facts out of my feelings. Something like a HVAC system doesn't give a fuck about your feelings. It works a certain way, as designed and engineered by MEN and that's it. Discussing such subjects makes thots suffer a deep existential discomfort. The closest thing in a man would be deep pondering of the nature of an afterlife, if any.
Of course it takes heavy war related trauma before men get the equivalent of a thousand cock stare (dead eyes) so the lesson here is that thots are weak and useless.

I'm slow but it just occurred to me that the folks complaining about mansplaining and manspreading are the same folks trying to convince us that gender differences are a social construct.
I gave up looking for consistency on the left long ago. All that remains is the amusement that I get from ironic juxtaposition.

The best is when they ask if they can help, then roll their eyes because you're "man-splaining" (giving directions because they don't know how and it's your project), then they inevitably fuck it up. And they're surprised, like genuinely shocked, when it happens.
"Lol...whoops," always seems to be the response, "cute, silly me!" Look how cute and silly I am!
You, of course, get angry, and then they try to turn the focus on you getting angry.
"Don't yell at me!"
I'm yelling because you're a fucking idiot and now this is something else I now have to deal with.

Men explain things to each other. It's a natural function of intelligence, aptitude and enquiringly minds. Mansplaining is what we could also call "talking while male". Feminists have picked on this generally male trait as a proxy for what they really want, which is simply to silence and subjugate mane. This post, for example, could be seen as mansplaining. They want us to stfu.
