Women don't like routine. They crave fun and change and excitement. After a short burst of initial excitement at becoming a wife and mother the everyday routine (or as men call it "responsibility") kicks in. They start to resent it and then you. In their heads, you're making them do this because you're 'expecting' them to do this. To them this translates into "taking them for granted" when all you're doing is figuring "ok, you play your part and I'll play mine." She expects you to go to work and pay the bills, you expect her to feed the family, take care of the kids and keep a clean house. Oh, so rough.

And any day they feel like it, they can just go "meh, not today" and spend the day watching TV, eating out of the full fridge, sitting on the nice couch in the clean living room and/or play with the baby.

You on the other hand, you take a day or 2 off sick and they say you have "man flu."

And they never do the amount of work they act like they do. ha, maybe we don't at work either. But holy cow. Nobody goes to the market everyday. Are you nuts? Laundry every day? What, do you run an orphanage or bed and breakfast? Shut up. And you better not complain about having to make meals for your husband when you're making them for the kids for crying out loud. you wanted them. And when push comes to shove, they are YOURS after all.

And in the story they plainly admit that it doesn't require an education. No shit. ANYONE can do it. ANYONE. That means the work has very little value. Monkeys do it. And you are born to do it.

People that live in dirt huts that can't read a word can do it. And they have to walk a couple miles everyday to do the laundry in the stream and drag water back home. They don't have couches, ellen, wine and cheese. Get off the fucking cross and sell some Scentsy.

P : Who makes breakfast for your family in the morning? H : I do, because she has more important things to do.

P : At what time does your wife wake up for making breakfast? H : She wakes up at around 5 am to check her PMs and Facebook profile, so I make my own breakfast.

P : How do your kids go to school? H : I take them to school, because she is doing important work.

P : After taking your kids to school, what does she do? Appreciate the men who shut up and shovel the gravel. Because their sacrifices are uncountable. This should be a reminder and reflection for all of us to understand and appreciate each others independence.
