I'm a 20 something professional who is still entry-level- but I generally have my shit together. Decent savings, virtually no debt, good education- and I've been looking to lower my cost of living (Los Angeles) to keep things that way.

I've been trying to find a roommate and through Craigslist, every single time I've mostly been getting divorced middle aged women. I've had 3 reach out to me this week (ie I put an ad, they replied) talking about how they're nervous to be a roommate with a man- but it's obvious from the context, they are desperate for someone reliable. One went on a long rant about how all the girls that apply want boys over every night. I almost rolled my eyes at the attempt at chick drama.

I doubt I'd go with any of them. They could lower my rent anywhere from $300-500 but I just can't return to a dysfunctional, used version of the womb.
