We are men. We are stone, unmoving and unchanging without great force applied to us. Often times the greatest force to move and shape us is our own will.
That is why hard times make great men. We are like stone, needing to be pounded into a proper shape.
Or perhaps we are marble, needing the sharp, precise strikes of other men to help shape us into masterpieces.
We are metal, broken down and melted in a crucible to be shaped into something of tremendous practical value; whether to be a weapon of protection or a tool of creation.
We are men. The only things that can change us are the things WE LET change us. Our will is indomitable, our strength supreme.
Often times we find our way here after heartbreak. Some of us were smart enough to learn from others mistakes before they suffered but not all of us. Let this be a reminder to you who needed to be broken down, especially those going through hardships currently. You are stone, when you are pounded down upon, take the opportunity to direct the blows. Come out of the adversity as YOU want to be.
