This is great point. Not only is the divorce rate rising, marriage rates are falling as well. So much for that whole marriage thing.

The graph is visually misleading. It begins with decades along the x-axis, but changes to individual years. If you normalize the x-axis units, the slope of the decline of marriage is much sharper. Rates are falling fast!
