A week ago, I flew across Australia to care for my aged father. My Father is usually cared for by my brother.

My Brother last visited Thailand to live briefly in the 50 sq house that he had paid for to be built over 3 years. When he took an independent driver/interpreter to talk to the parents in law, his crazy Thai wife threatened to shoot him, beat him with sticks and threw a brick at the drivers car. She also boasted that she told her son that my Brother was dead.

Using Facebook and google maps, we managed to track the likely location of his 2 year old son who was in a remote Thai village. Long story short, my Nephew was in preschool living with an Auntie. The mother was working her butt off in a provincial city to support the child e.g. $3 a day schooling. My brother, and the driver/interpreter went to the likely school and was told his son was a pupil there by the teachers. After some negotiating, my brother has FULL CUSTODY. He just had to mention court- they wisely chose not to go there. His estranged wife rolled over and gave him the childs passport and other documentation.

It was very fortunate he could get travel documents, and that the Thai authorities waved a 20 000 Baht overstay fine.

This story would end differently in the west of course, but the Thais really do look at the best interest of the child.

I awoke this morning to see my nephew playing in his bedroom. Mission accomplished. I was happy for my Brother and Father that my nephew grows up speaking English as a first language, and not as a Thai farmer.

As a MGTOW, having the flexibility to support my family at a moments notice , sacrificing a weeks income, buying some decent red wine to drink with my Dad... it is the life!
