Girls do the same thing, they also do stuff like keeping "slam books" on their fellow classmates, spreading gossip, lies, etc., and they all get away with it. Schools don't tend to punish girls for their actions, yet they'll suspend or expel a male student in a heartbeat for lesser offenses.

In high school, if you're a guy who doesn't play sports(especially football), have a letter jacket, or rich parents who give you tons of cash to spend and a fancy car, you're pretty much locked out of the dating scene. You also have to be tall and muscular or they won't even talk to you unless it's to put you down.

They just don't like having done to them what they do to others.

The boy who got detention over this should sue for violation of his First Amendment rights. People have a Constitutional right to discuss issues including sexual attractiveness. The boy has nothing to lose by suing and everything to gain. Such lawsuits would also cause schools to re-evaluate their risk-benefit analysis of suppressing speech. This is the only solution to oppressive regimes in academia.

Story time - when I was leaving middle school for high school, we had to write letters to each person in my class. I was dead honest in mine with certain people and told them I did not like them. This was right after Columbine so I was made to write apologies to people in detention. All these years later, I regret nothing. 10/10 would to tell shitty kids they are shitty again.
