I've been lurking this subreddit since January 2017 and I learned a lot of things that will help me on my life journey. I am a 17 years old Brazillian guy. I have always questioned everything that people try to put in my head. One day a history teacher tried to explain communism and I was like how would that work? You can't force everyone to work on harder and easier jobs and get paid the same amount. I was like 12 years old.

Going forward, I was raised with a blue-pilled vision of marriage and relationships. One of my "dreams" was to have a wife and two kids. You know that random dreams some people have, as "going to some place" but they never plan or see if it's viable? That was how planned my "marry someday and have kids" was. Someday, I don't really know why, I started to think about it. Why should I provide for someone that will stay at home doing absolutely nothing? Of course, if I had kids she would do something. Then I thought: oh, how about hearing babies screaming all night and having to pay a shitload of things for years just to make them grow and get fucked on this world? No way, that's not what I want for my life.

Somehow, I found TRP subreddit. Lurked around for some time and got an even harder reality check. Wow, I really need to be like that to get girls? All that superficiality and status? Lift bro! I know some ugly guys that get girls too, so I didn't believe everything again. Whatever.

Someone mentioned MGTOW and I checked this sub. Then I felt really good. I wasn't the only one that thought that way about marriage and other things. Oh, god. That amount of examples of failed marriages. The shitty relationships. It's all real! If I haven't found it I would probably seek a relationship anyway because I am not as an independent thinker as this text tries to show.

The amount of married and happy couples I know can be counted on my hands. Not really, I only need one hand. No, I don't need any hands. My father's friend was living a 'happily married' life. What happend one year ago? Wife went away without explaining anything and almost divorce raped him. My father's marriage? He is still married because it's cheaper to keep her. My best friend parents' marriage? Same thing. The ones that are "average" still have the problems that I mentioned earlier.

No. Fuck that. I am not going to marry. I am not going to support this system. I want to live for myself. I don't hate women. I hate what society tried brainwash me to believe: a married life is something you should strive for. It'll be good. Man up. (or whatever better written, fuck my broken English)

You respect me and I'll respect you. You respect yourself and I'll respect you even more. That's why I respect you guys. You went against this bullshit and didn't give a fuck.

I am going to study hard and get a Engineering degree. I am lifting for myself because I'm fucking thin. I will help my brothers when they really need and ask for my help. I will meditate to get over my anti-social(misanthropic) tendencies. I will live how I want.
