I have to be honest. I don’t get it.

I think he means he has her Facebook password and logged onto her account, and made it so her birthdays are private, therefore the next time she has a birthday everyone will forget and she will be left wondering why nobody remembered her birthday.
For the record: I think OP should not creep on his ex like this, delete her password, just move on, and go his own way.

Having her password is privacy violation. And I'm sure he's not just logging on and changing her settings and then logging off. He's reading everything she says to all the other men she knows. Thats called stalking.

So you're sure he's doing something and that makes him guilty of a crime despite the fact that you know nothing about him or what actually happened? Are you a liberal, by any chance?
[–]CrackingYs -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
It may not technically be a crime but having someone's Facebook password and logging into their account is a violation of their privacy.

Privacy died years ago.
[–]CrackingYs -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
What do mean by that?
[–]Darth_Toenail1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Do you think anything that you do online is truly "private"?
How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plug in on any individual IP is guesswork. It is even conceivable that they watch everybody all the time. But at any rate they could hack into your IP whenever they wanted to. You have to live – do live, from habit that becomes instinct – in the assumption that every post you make is read, and, except offline, every opinion you express is scrutinised.

What are you talking about?
OP does not have the right to stalk his girlfriend. Period. Suggesting he does have this right because "The Thought Police can plug into any IP address" is just dumb.

And you're accusing him of "stalking" based on the scenario you made up in your mind, using nonexistent online privacy as a decoy.
[–]CrackingYs1 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Yes I am accusing him of stalking his girlfriend and think he should stop and delete his ex's password.
I am not "using non existent privacy as a decoy" of anything, that doesn't even make sense.

She cheated on him, that's the greater 'crime'. Who gives two figs about Fakebook??
[–]teclado_sw1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ohh ok. I even have facebook and I didn't get that. I have my birthday private because I don't want the attention. I basically never use it, aside from sometimes keeping in touch with college buddies.
[–]BeastMaster661 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's awesome, it would just show her how fake she actually is.

Thank you, i got it now.

I have to be honest, I had to read it a couple of time before I got it. He's hitting her ego by setting her birthday to private on FB. No one will be notified about it so no one will give her the attention she craves.

A bit pathetic, just move on dude...
But, I guess no one remembering her birthday might hurt her pride a little.
