It truly is amazing how far as a society we have fallen. Just the fact that we're all here; marriage is basically off limits unless you're suicidal and have money to burn and "feminism" is a defining term of our generation. Women living on alimony, child support and welfare and dudes with their lives completely ruined paying for it. What a Fuck up things have become.

My Grandparents were old school man, my Gramps lied about his age and joined the Navy at 17 during WW2, Grandma was 16 and they got married, (married for 50 years before she passed away at age 67). Had 5 kids together and made it work. He served on the USS Pittsburgh as a Radio Tech, the Pittsburgh provided a weeks worth of outlying shelling on Okinawa before the Marines went in. They stayed in the fight despite a bad weather outlook, dwindling rations and artillery, and eventually lost the bow of the ship in a typhoon, had the SeaBees somehow cable it to the ship and they went home to Seattle towing the bow of the ship into port.

He passed away last year at age 93, I didn't even know he had anything to do with Okinawa until his last few months when he started talking and telling us the stories.

I am damn proud of both my Grandfather and Grandmother!! After 24 years apart they're finally chilling together again.
