I was alive when Dr. Vilar wrote that book. If you weren't around back then, it's hard to realize how belligerent feminists were. There weren't as many of them, but the ones that existed were completely off the chain. I don't think she had an ulterior motive. She must have known the amount of anger and hate it was going to generate from women, up to and including death threats. Looking back, I think the Doctor is correct. We men were, in large part, to blame. How? For tolerating women's bullshit. Why did we do it. Fear. Fear of what? Fear of making them cry, or cutting us off from sex, of suing us, etc. It's a horrible idea to compromise with or tolerate an enemy whose ulultimate goal is to enslave or destroy you. If you don't crush them when early, they'll eventually succeed. And that's where we are today.
