Had this discussion with my sister in law about why in real life, I would chose Karen over Pam. Sister in law had that same look on her face ^

Karen has a good job, was ambitious and hardworking. Pam was a receptionist who whines her way into a sales job, and couldn’t hack it.

So many people think the Jim/Pam love story is the greatest one of all, but their whole relationship was based on emotional cheating followed by actually cheating, AND of Jim being the world's biggest simp.

The true beautiful love story in that show is the Michael/Holly love story. If I ever date again, I hope to find a love like that.

That’s the same look as the faces of the girls I refuse to go out with because they are “not my type”. Then they ask what my type is, possibly expecting physical appearance description. While my answer is “Well a medicine student/ doctor would be nice, I could settle for an STEM student / engineer though. Childless of course” It works even better than selling them the “I’m gay” response. I even got called shallow, I mean really? When wahmen want Chads and millionaires it’s because they “deserve” them. When I have some standards to even notice a female I’m shallow. Clown world for real!

The entire Jim, Pam, Karen, Chad romance was written to appeal to women. Everything about both love triangles is designed to trigger female instinct for bad boys, competition with other women, securing romance, and having a beta guy in waiting for her.

Jim has some good personality traits, but he is the embodiment of a beta simp. He orbits around Pam while she fucks Chad, who won't marry her. Then as her reproductive value plummets, Pam becomes interested in beta provider Jim and he is grateful to get her scraps. You just know that Pam did things with Chad, or whatever his name was, that she would never do with Jim.

Jim even dumps Karen in a completely dickish way despite the fact that Karen was a unicorn -- whether you believe in unicorns or not, this character was one -- and deeply loved Jim and was a fun girlfriend.

Personally, I think that Rashida Jones is as good looking as Jenna Fischer, but that's a personal preference. In any case they are comparable.

If you could combine the best attributes of Jim and Dwight, you'd have the ultimate alpha. I'm imagining someone like Tony Stark, but working at a paper company.
