I just had a small epiphany over the holidays that I wanted to share with you all. My grandpa saw two of his three children go through divorce, my uncle and my aunt. That was many years ago, fifteen or so. Back then he said to me: "If I had only one advice to give to the youth these days, it is not to marry."

Now, fifteen years later, when he cannot even remember if he had breakfast today, let alone what he did ten minutes ago, my grandpa asked me on Christmas Eve when I was going to bring home a girlfriend. I should be married by now.

I'm not judging an old man for saying foolish things. It just shows how deeply ingrained that marriage bullshit is into the average persons brain. At a point in their life where they can't even remember the day of the week, they still think people should get married.
