There has always been something that bugged me about this community, and its stance on things like contraception and abortion. See, I've seen men from this community call women evil, unempathetic monsters for not wanting to have kids and getting an abortion. I've also seen them put down women who are single mothers with sons for not raising their kids correctly, or for not trying to find a man to help co-parent the boy. And I guess I can see some type of logic in where they're coming from, but then in the same vain there will be men who call women conniving snakes for getting pregnant, and then asking them to be the father, and to be there for their child by giving child support.

It doesn't make sense, you can't spit on women who get abortions and call them horrible people, but then turn around and turn your nose up at the first woman trying to get help for her child. It takes two to tango, and it takes a village to raise a child. Either you step up and be a dad, or you support contraception and abortion. I fully understand, by the way, that not every situation is going to be the same. There really are women out there who will try to trap men in relationships with them by getting pregnant. But it doesn't really make sense to hate single moms with sons for not getting a man, because she had to have had a guy sometime before and he doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight. Why are you blaming the mom for not having a man? She's a single mom, they're kind of busy with things, you know. Like raising their kids, and trying to provide for their kids, and making sure they can keep a roof over their head. Their may not be time to go on dates, and stuff. And even if there were, she still has to worry about her kids, and whose going to watch over them while she goes on a date with some guy. She may not have the money to hire a babysitter, because all of the money is going into things like the bills, and the groceries, and her children in general. Wouldn't providing child support for a kid benefit men because then they wouldn't have to worry about whether or not a boy they know is going hungry or is two seconds away from getting kicked out of his house? And despite all this sub may claim, you all have to have had mothers who were nice, at least some of you had to have met a nice lady who cared for you or who cared about you. A young boy being separated from his mother because she couldn't provide for him is a bad situation, especially if there's a mom who did try, but got called a lying snake for seeking support.

And while we're on the topic of single mothers, what about the converse? Single Fathers are also kind of busy, they have to do all of the things it takes to raise a child. Does MGTOW look down on Single dads with daughters for not trying to find a woman to raise her? I don't think I've ever met a single father who resigned to dating, rather than taking care of his kids, because he didn't think he could raise them right due to Gender circumstances. And any dad who did decide he wasn't going to be in his daughters life because "She's a girl, and I don't know much about girls" probably shouldn't be a dad in the first place, honestly. If you are a father with no other spouse to help you co parent, then you should at least try to get support, in some way. You can't just give up because you think it's too hard, that's not how raising a child works. You can't decide to quit parenting, and leave your kid out with nothing. If you can't support your kid, then maybe its time you thought about things like adoption, because just giving up halfway is really shitty.

Now I am not at all saying that this mindset is held by everyone in the community, of course, it's just something that pops up when I personally interact with men in this group. This has just always kind of bugged me about MGTOW, well this and the overwhelming amount of counter productive "Woman talk" (If it's called Men Going Their Own Way, you'd think most of the topics would be about doing manly things, and getting in touch with your masculinity in a healthy way, but all I ever see are posts about how feminism sucks, and how women are horrible manipulative creatures), but that's beside the point. These two ideas conflict with eachother to a hilarious degree, and I really hope somewhere in the future it gets addressed somehow.

That's just my two cents anyway.
