Don’t take this as bragging but I’d say I’m an above average looking guy and this works reasonably well. I work retail part time and it works much better than flat out telling women no since they can’t handle rejection. The only downside is they want to befriend you and treat you as their bestie.

Apart from that, this is one of the opportunities where being an Aspie is an advantage. I mean, quite often I don't even realise flirting attempts as such until a friend is telling me what is going on. And when they are blunt enough to make me realize, I just tell them it's not their fault, it's mine and that I am no relationship material. "Really, you can and will find someone better!"

Althought sometimes this seems to backfire spectacularly and makes me even more of a target. Strange, as if "No" doesn't mean "No" for them...
