I've been hit on by gay guys. Never been a problem for me, just say thanks but no thanks without being an ass. I was also never that persistent with women so that highly upvoted comment is seemingly entirely wrong about some guys.

Ive had gay guys hit on me a lot, having lived in a big city. It doesnt bother me at all, in fact they are usually hilarious. Its a compliment, if you arent insecure. And you just go on your way.

But I agree, men shouldn't catcall women or make them feel scared or threatened. They should be utterly ignored and made to make the first move and make all the effort to earn my attention.
