This does bring up a good point for defending yourself against horseshit- use your debit card to pay for anything you don't absolutely need cash for. This makes a nice paper trail of where you were hour by hour through the day if you ever need it. There's also ways of pulling your GPS records from your cell phone provider to verify your precise location if you need it, but that's a bit more involved.

Point is being invisible isn't always a good thing, it's sometimes better to create a trail as insurance against false accusations and only reveal it if necessary.
