I disagree with it. This is just another way to get people on prescription drugs that you have to take everyday for the rest of your life, just look at the TV commercials almost every drug is everyday for the rest of your life. Do you know how much money that's worth per person, per drug? I've said it a million times.....Big Pharma doesn't create cures, it creates customers.

Watch the documentary on Netflix called "Take your Pills". The entire thing is a snake oil scam to drive profits for the pharmaceutical industry like so many other things.

They are giving kids amphetamines. That's the situation. Does that seem like a wise course of action?

Lol I've been on it for a few years , I have it officially diagnosed after many tests. The drugs improved my life 100x (results prove it) If you actually have it, these things help, trust me I take addy daily

And lmao at people comparing meditation/eating healthy to these drugs. LOL

I'm not sure, to be honest. While I believe that it's overdiagnoased, it's definitely a thing. There are non-pharmacrutical treatments, but they generally require much more work. Cardio, for instance, will have the same effect, but it'll only last for about 90 minutes.

I've definitely seen some improvements to focus from doing meditation for 30 days straight, but it goes away if you don't keep the habit.

I intentionally stayed off meds in college to prove that I was the one in control, and that my medication didn't decide my fate, but I've gone back on. I proved my point, and I no longer feel like handicapping myself.

Adhd medication is given predominately to boys in early 'education' because the teacher is frustrated they dont sit with their legs crossed like little girls. They sit high energy kids in class, expect them to sit through material they dont care about and dont allow them to properly socialize with their peers. And by properly socialize I mean play that is deemed 'unsafe' for kids. And if they act out and get loud in class they give them a pill to calm them down. Its abhorrent, and I hate that we allow this to happen.

I have adhd, diagnosed. Got pills, never took them. I'm in a busy, fast paced workplace and I feel my "ADHD" is actually a strength

I disagree with medical treatment for ADD/HD. Provide your child with an outlet for their state of mind and education about how they just need more activity than most. Enable your children, don't take away their gift.

My mom fed me chocolate cake and coca cola for breakfast -- both contain caffeine, which both stimulates the brain and calms. I had no problems focusing in class. And doesn't ruin your life. Plus it tasted good. There is no need for these stupid drugs.
