I've no sympathy as Google is one of the biggest "muh equality" assholes out there
[β]wolfoftheworld[S] 23 points24 points25 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Couldn't agree more.
[β]panzerbier4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Came here to say that. Diversity and gender equality is strength, isn't it, Google?

The original link.
The problem with a female-dominated workforce is that when all these hoes get pregnant, who is going to be stuck doing all the work?

Reminder that when one gets pregnant, all others want to get pregnant too.

Mommy fever. It should be under the list of tropical diseases.

It is, but alphabetically it comes after Baby Rabies

I think it has to do with the constant desire for attention. Oh my coworker is preggers and she gets all this attention.
[β]rocko200023 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And when one gets pregnant and all get pregnant, the ones that can't get pregnant have to pick up the slack.
[β]hrm08942 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Seriously? Why is that?
[β]Throwthe88270 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nobody knows. After decades, people just say: it is so.
[β]My-CA-alt3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
That's why you need to eliminate them during the selection process. Were I in the position, I'd only hire men and old barren women if they had the experience. Employees giving birth also cost the employer a shitload of money to boot in maternity leave pay and having to hire replacements etc.
[β]Chaos19905 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Unfortunately that's discrimination.
But hiring all women is perfectly fine...
[β]My-CA-alt1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's only discrimination if you get caught. Where I live there's constant talk in the media about older people having hard time getting jobs so by filling your woman quota by hiring postmenopausal women you'd actually get some virtue signalling points.

I have a problem with pregnant workers, because they won't shut the fuck up about being pregnant.
you know what I've never seen? A woman ever shut the fuck up. Or even stop a conversation about it due to professionalism.

The worst is the baby showers that you're expected to indulge your pregnant coworker in.
[β][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Easy fix. Say "it's not a child until it's born, call me when it's actually 100% out of you. Until then it's just a parasitic mass of cells. Apparently."
Watch em go postal.
[β]rocko200022 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Ah yes, the baby shower. That celebration where it's not even about the baby as much about the mom. All those gifts all for her..ahem, for baby. And most will either be thrown away or given away but never used. And don't even get me started the misery of being a man and having to go to one of these. It's so bad even my own mother would refuse to go any of her granchildrens' baby showers and I can't hardly blame her.
[β]wolfoftheworld[S] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
From what I know, the baby shower is an American institution. It isn't really a popular concept elsewhere although it is started to be in the UK now.

We donβt have too many women in my workplace but one thing thatβs always pissed me off is that maternity leave counts towards years of service. As far as Iβm concerned, if you arenβt at work, you arenβt working and shouldnβt gain in seniority for getting knocked up.
[β]wolfoftheworld[S] 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Here here!
Unless fathers get equal leave in Paternity I agree with you
[β]DeMeza0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I never understood that either. Iβve had several female colleagues who have had 2-4 children and on paper theyβve the same experience as me and get the same pay, but in reality Iβve the double amount of experience as they do. Often it shows in their work performance. A lot of them complain about how stressful the work is and ask other colleagues (including me) relatively simple questions all the time that youβd think someone with the amount of experience that they have (on paper) would know.
[β]rocko200024 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Google has a problem with pregnant workers. It's called "performance drop."
[–]fea_ther4 points 6 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
What do you expect when two females get too close to each other? Lmao
[β]shatterthecrystal632 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
They didn't exactly think that one through now did they.
Well, reap what you sow Google. Enjoy all the wanton pregnancies and the shit that comes with em! π
[β]wolfoftheworld[S] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Makes me wonder if they will rethink their policies. "From now, due to the massive amounts of pregnant women on maternity leave, only one bitch is allowed to be pregnant per quarter!"
[β]shatterthecrystal631 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Pffft you're utilizing logic my dude. You've got a better chance of an 8-Ball fortune teller saying "YES" to you winning the powerball lol.
But we can always dream.

Every time you see a new, young female anchor appear on your local news broadcasts - start your stop watch. They are pregnant within 6 months of that promotion.
