I did a tinder experiment once, I asked 17 matches (who had no overt signs of being hookers) if they were willing to talk about a paid arrangement. 3 didn't reply, 7 jumped straight into price negotiations and 7 were cautiously willing to discuss more. Zero negative responses

Name you price is the dumbest thing - I have multiple hobbies, and even if I really wanted to buy something for my hobby, I would never tell the owner "name your price" - it's just bad business decision. Everything has a market price, so why even give them a chance to artificially inflate the price. Always go below market value for used goods, and also keep in mind that the seller might be desperate to sell - so would take prices that normally wouldn't fly. Also getting a good deal is part of the fun. Imagine, you like let's say vintage cars - the best part of the hobby would be getting an old car, and making it look brand new - it would require a lot of work, procuring parts etc. etc. Now imagine someone says they likes the same thing you do... and has a car exatly like yours - you ask him how much time and effort was put into it, and he says "oh, I just bought one, I told the seller to name his price and bought it" - wow, such joy.... I'm not dissing people who can afford it, but even if I can afford it, for me personally there is more fun in working on it, then just buying it outright.
