Forget toxic masculinity. They're actually making a toddler do actual labor! OMG THAT'S CHILD EXPLOITATION! HE SHOULD BE GOING TO COLLEGE TO GET A DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY! REE!

But I'm all seriousness, I have plenty of thoughts. One, manual labor is really looked down upon, especially in regards to minors. Forget working with concrete, in the supermarket I used to work in, they wouldn't even let 16 year olds mess with the warehouse forklift or the cardboard compactor machine. And herein lies part of the problem. While I see why things like age of consent exist, a side effect is teenagers are treated as children which will definitely stunt their mental and intellectual growth. I saw it quite a bit more n the military where 18 year olds had to be taught everything from making a budget to actually reminding them to iron their uniforms. Which is shit that typically would be taught to teens in a normal situation, but we consider them as children who can do no wrong but at the same time are idiots, which partly explains both the rise of feminism and this embrace of socialism. Because let's face it, if you put a 14 year old girl to actually do stuff like learning how to bake pies or knitting, she's not gonna have time for feminist bullshit, unlike modern 14 year old girls who either look down at their phones or stand around with their arms crossed and looking disgusted when out shopping for groceries with their families. Which is a skill they should be learning but because we consider them children, that's adult work and we shouldn't be forcing them, not to mention that's reinforcing gender roles and ergo that's sexist and misogynistic.

Which leads me to another point. Along with bricklaying and masonry, as a man, personally I will say that concrete pouring is a job I would not want to work in unless there was no other option. It's one thing to mix a few 50 pound bags of Quickcrete in a wheelbarrow and pour say, a 4x4 square foot sidewalk square, which I've done, but pouring a whole parking lot or driveway? Which is why I do respect concrete people because that shit is hard work, not to mention you really have to know what you're doing and apply actual science, lest your concrete is too wet and it starts cracking as soon as it dries or it's not level and water starts to puddle up. So definitely I will say without fear of being wrong I will never see a woman working as a concrete layer.

And as an addendum to my first point, isn't it absurd that it's not ok for teens to work hard jobs because they are considered children but it's ok for them to work showbiz and even pretend to be sexualized adults? Just look at Miley Cyrus, Amanda Bynes, or Ariana Grande. Or we can go even further and look at women like Shirley Temple or the chick that played Marcia Brady.

I hate to say this but I've come to notice a young boy with to much exposure to women, and not enough to men usually tends to learn some pretty nasty perceptions and ideals. For example a few summers back my neighbors kid used to hang out with me a lot when I was outside working on something, which was fairly often. Was a good, respectful kid and always showed interest in what I was doing and wanted to help however he could. So I would often times break bolts loose then let him undo them so he could be able to feel like he took part. I did a full engine rebuild one week with this kid out there almost the entire time. Picked up quite a bit from it, kid was 10 years old and could diagnose ignition based misfires on his own and actually understood the logic. Well he spent the summer over his mom's, came back completely different. Still was interested in that stuff but she kind of shunned him for it which made him not want to learn. Kind of makes me chuckle because she just shot herself in the foot, if this kid knew this at 10, by the time he graduated highschool this kid could be prepared to work a pit stop crew for NASCAR or something. There seems to me a societal shunning of trying to teach boys to be men currently.
