I used to work at a very high-level place and the women were just as bad as the men, in most respects. They’d openly look at and flirt with the guys, even if they were married, etc. They had their own cliques where they helped their female friends advance over more qualified candidates.
Talking about a candidate, one woman I worked with said, “let’s hire him, I need some more eye candy around the office.” She’s the same one that called me a “ double bagger” in front of others. Yet also kisses up to me and acted like she wanted me, when she needed my unique skills.
