Objectively speaking, if you weren't inquisitive enough to learn anything about MGTOW or Incels yourself, and based on what you have seen in social media and the news, what would your impression of Incels be? Let's just agree that it would be an unflattering description that may use words like hateful, misogynistic, evil, suicidal, losers, and so on. Yes?

What scares the ever-loving shit out of society? Men with purposes other than serving society. Enough guys like that and kiss tax revenues goodbye. Kiss the birthrate goodbye, kiss innovation goodbye, kiss men serving the interests of women goodbye. That last one is a big one, cause that means they will be clambering to the government for even more support than the get now. Shit, they don't even want to have to pay for their own hygiene products. They think those should just be provided, fuck the manufacturer, or the taxpayer, so long as they get their freebies. This all works, not well, but works now because men are invested. If suddenly men thought.... " you know, if I wasn't subsidizing some fucking stupid social program that benefits women, I could have that bass boat in no time," shit would get real in a hurry since men throughout their lifetime tend to be a net tax generator. If a large swath just went away, the remainder would not be able to make up the shortfall because women in general are a net tax drain over the course of their lives.

So, where do these ideas coincide? MGTOW tend to favor minimalism, and not feeding the government welfare machine a penny more than required. They are scary as fuck because 1. They are those men in the scenario above dreaming of a bass boat, and 2. There is no carrot society can offer them to come back or stay yolked to the system. Not even pussy is a strong enough opiate to keep them on board and rowing anymore. Society sees where this is going and wants none of it.

So.... what to do? Well, they have successfully assassinated the character of a large demographic of confused, and angry men. With those men's help no less. Let's face it, the words and actions of some Incels have not done their community any favors. They are almost universally reviled now. MGTOW has next to nothing to do with, or in common with them, but being a danger to the order of things, many try to lump the two together in the hopes of discrediting MGTOW, and making it just as reviled. The ignorant masses won't try to learn, they will just drink the pablem unquestioningly and assume they are not being lied to.

Society, the powers that be, feminism, SJWs actually believe that if the link can be forged between the two that it will take down two birds with one stone. In actuality, link or no, MGTOW is an ideology. Even if outlawed it would still be practiced, Men will still be disenfranchised, the shit is getting too deep not to be.

Tl:dr - It is an easy, lazy way to try to discredit MGTOW by using guilt by association.
