It's basically suppression. This is not love, this is him trying to smother her, denying her the room she needs to fully unfold and to manipulate her with his gifts.
The best thing she can do is to leave him, now and to find someone who really appreciates what she has to give. Someone who gives her the personal space she needs and who does not feel the need to always be around; controlling her.

Believe it or not, women find this boring.
In addition, if you really do put her on a pedestal, after a while she starts to believe she is better than you - why not? You do. And the next step after that is cheating on you because you don't deserve her anyway.

This is so right. Women can't love who they don't respect, and they can't respect a man that loves them. Because they all secretly hate themselves and can't take anyone seriously so treats them well.
