As a youth raised with a very historical view of communism/socialism, the idea of UBI never appealed to me.
As I entered middle-age and became more aware of the finer aspects of government and economics, I loathed the idea equating it to the Tragedy of the Commons.
In my later years, after accepting the fact that the governments will never regain the ability to create their own currency, I've softened to the idea.
I still believe that if you feed the bears, they will become complacent and refuse to forage on their own. It's just that the banks are going to print the currency into oblivion regardless. I might as well collect my portion. Everyone else is.

Couple things, I have no party affiliation, though I side with the right about 85% of the time.

My feelings toward President Trump are neutral. I think he looked so cheesy through out most of his life in the media. However, our economy is literally been in an incline for 11 straight years. Our unemployment is literally the lowest it's ever been. So, again neutral. Like Sweden. I know you lot love those nordic countries that you dont understand.

Lastly, it is looking like Biden will get the nomination. So ta ta.

I left for work last night come back and see a storm of controversy. All i want is the best case scenario for everyone. Or at least to talk about what's possible I'm not asking for anything. Just a conversation. No obligation. Or anyone's obedience. Just real solutions to the growing obstacle of automation rendering us all inevitably obsolete in many regards. From lawyers to soldiers to even coding robots and a.i. are coming y'all. What happens afterwards?

Hey, here's a pretty dark hued red pill - nothing and nobody ain't worth shit unless they're performing, inventing or in of themselves being something that benefits other, most humans aren't any of that, therefore UBI is just communism with extra steps.
