So, a few months ago I wrote a post how my ex broke up with me. That was in April. The reason for the break up she told me was that she wanted to concentrate on university (she wanted to start this fall). Therefore she had no time for a relationship.

Well, I recently heard from someone that she is engaged since July and will marry soon. I find it really fascinating, that she finds so fast a new guy during lockdown ... anyway, more proof for AWALT and monkey branching

EDIT: To give some more information, it's almost impossible that she could have met him before March. And the story doesn't take place in the US, here it is common (cultural pressure) that if a woman gets pregnant the couple usually marries. So, my speculation would be that my ex (for medical reasons she can't take the pill) got pregnant by this new guy so they decided to marry.
