A travesty of the modern era is our culture has forgotten the archetype of female evil. Manipulative, lying, cheating, vain, and cruel - this character has been cast in ancient myths from cultures all around the world. They knew it existed and more importantly they knew women like that needed to be punished with contempt.

Nowadays judges will let women off for brutal crimes because she seemed 'nice'. Or has 'talent' They get away with the most vile crimes of child abuse, murder and false rape accusations. Lesser crimes of homewrecking, cheating, and manipulation are tolerated or even celebrated.

I was watching a movie recently that gave me the idea to write this. About an ancient mythological story from the Inuit tribes of northern Canada. There was a character in the movie that fit the evil female archetype perfectly. She cheated on the main character, conspired to have his brother killed, and told lies about him to the village, forcing him to flee.

Upon his triumphant return to his village, the evil female tries to cosy up to him like nothing had happened. What followed was one of the most satisfying moments of justice I have ever seen. The main character takes a knife, rips her coat in half, leaving her half naked in the arctic winter. He tells her "This is what you deserve". At the end of the film, she is exiled.

I was shocked, I have never seen anything like it, certainly not from our modern culture. We have stories about female evil - Gone Girl comes to mind, but there was no punishment of her crimes.

Female evil is not just "one bad decision" that requires forgiveness. It is an archetype and it is pathological. This behaviour requires social shaming and severe punishment in response. Of all the things modern culture has forgotten, this is the most egregious.
