Had a coworker who we suspect was homosexual.

Whether it's Christianity or Islam or any religion really this attitude is typical garbage you will experience. They get to put "god" as your punisher up like a meat shield to continue gaslighting you. In particular I grew up with several friends who were Arab but some were actually Christians, some Muslim. Their mothers would pretend to be subservient to the fathers, and were usually 20 years younger, but the mean streaks they would suddenly show were terrifying with the kids.
