Whining about cultural appropriation aside, I can understand a part of why people got upset. As I understand it, the haka is supposed to be a intimidation tactic. Here? Not so much. This makes these medical personnel look like dorks.

Cultural appropriation as an accusation is nothing more than an attempt to become a victim, so that you can use victim culture to turn around on your supposed oppressor or person who is appropriating the culture at hand, and thereby become the aggressor. It's got to be one of the most bulshit things I've ever heard people complain about. It's sort of like people bitching that the weather is just too nice or they simply had too much fun.

I don’t believe in cultural appropriation however this is just dumb, these nurses are pulling stupid stunts like this because their loving and feeding off the attention their receiving because healthcare workers are in the spotlight due to covid. I respect all the nurses and other healthcare workers doing their job at the moment and most seem to be getting on with it as quiet professionals however a small minority mainly female nurses are just taking the piss and pulling stunts like this for attention, also if your going to do the haka at least do a good job of it.
