Its easy to say that simps are just driven to get some action and they wouldn't mind sacrificing their own dignity in the process, but I think the real answer is far more complicated.

For a lot of simps its not about sex at all. Instead it has to do with a lack of innate self love. These are people who cannot believe that they are worthy individuals for who they are. They have been brought up to believe that their worth is determined by what they do to others and they strive to do anything it takes to win other's approval.

Usually these people are also people pleasers in general. They would get outraged on behalf of others (whether it is deserved or not) and they take up the causes that make them feel special, worthy and lovable. They are typically co-dependants.

It starts way early in their life, where in their childhood they don't receive unconditional love by their parents. They learn that their parents love them only when they achieve certain things, or they do things to please them. This translates to other aspects of their lives as they grow up and then it gets solidly entrenched when it comes to partners.

The unfortunate thing is that co-dependants end up attracting toxic people, and their relationships are always going to be crazy. And they go from one relationship to next of the same nature until one day they finally wake up and realise something is missing in this picture (if at all).

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
