Imagine buying a house for someone so they can fuck your best friend in your bedroom and then kick you out of it, alienate you from your kids and take half the rest of your money in child support that goes towards buying expensive toys and overseas holidays.

I believe the Return On Investment from a relationship is highly negative for a man and highly positive for a woman. I believe women are cheating now more than ever before with the aid of social media and that the odds of being cheated on is very high in a new relationship. Not 100%, but certainly not less than 50%. Do I want to try it all again, just to be sure? Were my suspicions and confirmations from my past relationships and from stories on this forum possibly wrong in some cases? Maybe, but I'm not willing to test that theory again, just to be sure.
Have you ever touched a High Energy Ignition Distributor cable on an engine when it's running? I once had a car where the cable was installed without taking out the slack. It was laid over the engine, got hot and melted the rubber insulation off in some parts. I picked it up to move it, to prevent the short that was occurring. I was shocked with about 50,000 volts of electricity. That's what a marriage blowing up in your face is like now for men. It's not a mistake you want to chance again once you've been worked over by the system.
Of course, cheating is only one of the many ways women can destroy a relationship. There is overspending on every single recurring monthly purchase, like groceries, dinners out, gas, electric, clothing, entertainment, vacations, you name it. Then there are the credit demands, for financing new cars and bigger houses. Then one day she can decide at the drop of a hat, now that she has all the goodies lined up and financed, she will quit her job to go find herself. And after all the hell the man has been through, she will demand a divorce, wreaking financial chaos through his entire life. Enter bankruptcy court.
Add in the STD risks, the endless nagging and complaining, the risk of child support payments for 18 years or more, the risk of bankruptcy, the risk of losing your home and I really don't see any upside whatsoever for a man to enter into a relationship in 2019 and beyond. It's simply too dangerous. The payoff is negative. It would be cheaper to set cash money on fire.

My parents have been happily married for 25+ years and have four children. They love each other and spending time with each other and have no incentive to cheat bc they care about each other.

Yes, bad experiences are the only thing on the menu these days. I used to think my experience was unique, that I just 'chose wrong'.
