That’s the difference between men and women. Women never have to do that, they just have to bleed once a month.

When you are standing on your own two feet fully in every way shape and form.

You become independent in its entirety.

It’s not this magical amazing thing either.

I’m 26, and I thought being an adult was something else.

I still feel 16 in a way.

My dad at 57 still feels 17 in some ways. By that he means the person he is on the inside being full of life and passion even though he’s gotten physically older.

You just become more experienced, knowledgeable and independent. That’s it.

A girl becomes a woman once she can give birth. There’s no right of passage for her to go through besides that. She always has the protection and provision of the tribe in principal. She’s still a woman even if she’s incompetent and dependent.

A man isn’t if he’s dependent and incompetent. He’s a mature male physically and even emotionally.

But he isn’t man status.

Men are made. Not born.

Women are born. Not made.

It takes years for a man to become “a man”.

It’s a title that has to be earned and maintained constantly too. You don’t get there and magically stay there. It takes work and effort though should get easier and easier with time.

The pressure of evolution is on our shoulders as men. Not women.

They simply have to give birth to the winners of men. They don’t need to be winners themselves.

Since our actions are a reflection of internal character (in general), and negative actions tend to be collectively shunned, then taking responsibility for positive or negative actions is a step towards improving our self and possibly the group as a whole? Is this ultimately putting the "tribe" ahead of the self, while also recognizing the individuals place in it? It's just interesting how many, I suspect, would say responsibility.
