This is from a recent, and rather heartbreaking experience.

I was in love with a girl I was friends with. I was absolutely devoted to this girl, out of loyalty and attraction. But I was always the "good friend.". You know what I got? Bitched at...constantly. Sure I had the occasional good time with her, and for some parts, she was pretty chill, but my god...was she a control freak.

Apparently, if I ever disagreed with her, I wasn't well informed and she would berate me until I surrendered, because if I didn't, she gave me the silent treatment.

My one-itis wouldn't allow me to let her walk. Now, the funny thing is, it was a week ago that I found out something that ultimately killed my feelings, one-itis, and basically turned me completely into the MGTOW route.

Before things ended horribly for us, I noticed as time went on she just stopped caring to talk to me. Whenever I confronted her she would say she felt I wasn't understanding how busy she was...I got the truth outta her.

The real truth? She's been getting railed by a tall, muscular Chad who treats her disposably. She called him an asshole, but apparently she kept going back to him. Meanwhile while Chad was getting sloppy firsts, she was painting me to be the angry nice guy who didn't get any. All while this guy left visible fucking marks on her.

She painted him as a noncommittal asshole and he got the pussy and respect. I was being the respectful guy and I got the headache. It was a big, fat redpill.

I was more mad that she had actively lied to me and then it hit me like a truck... She never cared. I was supposed to be the good little slave and agree with her and her feminism, but how dare I even suggest we have sex. 3 years and I allowed myself to be used.

Realizing that my biggest crime was being short and poor, I dropped her, cried over the loss of her and the dream, told myself I was done with the modern dating scene, been MGTOW ever since.

She still acts like the victim, saying that I was bitter over not getting any, while saying "Where have all the good, responsible men gone?"

Women really, really hate having their own shallowness exposed. Instead, they strongly push the narrative that men are the shallow gender with unyielding standards, although it's literally inverse. Most men are lenient as hell about women's looks and especially their characters. Then again, accusing men of being the shallow ones might also be related to the fact that women only really consider a minority of men attractive. And said minority can actually be picky.

Anyway, this whole anti nice guy crusade is basically just a collection of strawmen to justify hating on and rejecting unattractive men by painting them as evil. Example of strawmanning: nice guys are always accused of only wanting casual sex, not relationships. It's a dumb notion in itself that wanting casual sex makes a man evil (slutshaming, hello?), but it's also simply a lie: most nice guys want relationships, it's an integral part of the romantic narrative these guys internalized.

I just heard on the radio that a local father tortured his 6 weeks old toddler for weeks and then killed him a couple of days ago. The mother knew about the abuse and ignored it.

The man is an absolute degenerate piece of shit and deserves a rat-infested cell for the rest of his life, but literally NO ONE can convince me that he used to be a "sweetheart" and "changed overnight", like people always do when it comes to abusive men. This particular response (one of many) stems from the "neckbeard" or "nice guy" complaint about women flocking to Chads and not men who "treat them right". In this particular instance, it's because women have this love of being dominated, of being someone else's sexual pleasure. A glorified cum rag, if you will. It's common knowledge that women desire men who are dominant and confident. Because nice guys and neckbeards have this rather feminine entitlement complex that assumes that nice gestures are rewarded with sex, women respond with the "it's about personality" when confronted with this criticism. Which is technically correct given women would rather have sex with someone who acts in a dominant manner rather than someone who whines that they can't get laid.

Phrase this question differently when inquiring about women's preferences and you get the same response, but the reasoning is different.

That's all irrelevant, but the answer is that they can't admit personal responsibility for anything (same reason as the HAES movement and fat positivity. Losing weight requires accepting that you were personally responsible for your weight gain). Admission of responsibility requires emotional maturity which there's been a severe lack of in recent generations. I think it's from shitty parenting and drug addiction, but Peter Pan syndrome is real and nearly every girl has it. They want the benefits of being an adult without the responsibility.

Step one, hit the gym and become a Chad.

Step two, tell them to fuck off.
