On TLC Extreme Cheapskates there is this episode where this lady makes her husband take "navy showers" where he has to turn the water off as he scrubs himself and then turn it back on only to rinse. He said in the cutscene he wants to take a real shower. To make matters worse, the wife puts a baby monitor in the bathroom to hear if her husband is turning the water off or not. I watched it and thought wow. Wow that the guy lets his wife control him that way. Wow that he just goes along with it.

Of course it's TLC. Probably scripted. But the point stands that there are probably actual women who do this. Not to mention the real life examples I've seen happen in my own life.

What gives women the universal right to have a say in everything a man does? What makes her this way. Why do they get a kick out of controlling men? Why is this okay but not the other way around? If a man was limiting how his wife took showers it'd be called abuse. If a man told a woman she'd have to do certain things or else he'd leave her would be called abuse. Yet it's not even blinked at when women do these things. They're free to do it all day long and no one questions it.

It's just plain sad.
