I think the most psychologically damaging part about marriage. Is when you divorce and your kids take the hardest hit. Rarely do the children grow up to be healthy, social human beings who strive for success in life. When their parents are divorced.

Just imagine you taking care of this human being that is your own. You fed them, put them to sleep, prepare food for them, tell them stories, play with them, teaching them bonding together.

And at some point the marriage doesn't work. She might have found someone better or just won't put up with you. You'll have to pay child support, alimony, and lose half your shit. If you're even lucky to see your children. He/she might not even be mentally stable to ever bond with you again. As the family is broken into a thousand pieces. Your mother could have made up some fabricated story to distance the relationship with your very own children.

You see in this society we do not look at what the woman did wrong. Even if she cheated, its the husbands fault for not being good. Instead of talking it out like grown ups. The foundation of a relationship is communication. But instead they sleep behind your back. "It was your fault for not being around. Giving me the attention i need!".

The white picket fence dream sounds great on pen and paper. But unfortunately with how society is right now. You'll only be shooting yourself in the foot.

They can't even offer pretend loyalty either. So many women are pushing the idea that "being loyal to your husband is constricting" and that "women need multiple men" and are just pushing the envelope further and further, trying shit test after shit test.

It is fucking exhausting trying to appease them, so let the government clean up their shit.
