I got it done when my marriage went to shit and I saw divorce looming. I did a count and I knew 12 guys who knocked up their girlfriends during their divorce proceedings or right after the divorce was final. The story was always the same. She said she was on the pill, she said her doctor said she couldn't have kids, cum in me all you want. Now these guys are trapped in second unhappy marriages or are shackled up with their baby mommas to avoid paying child support. The new woman gets pissed when the guy talks to his ex wife which they all have to do for the sake of their kids . A lot of them also catch grief from the new wife over her being stressed out by his kids when they have them. The ex wife is always complaining about him not spending enough time, and money on his first kids. These guys all look tired, broke, and stressed out. That wasn't going to be me. I also didn't want my STBX trying to save the marriage by getting knocked up. After I got snipped she all of a sudden wanted us to get kids a puppy. She has no patience for animals and always gave me grief about our dog when we had one years ago. She was just trying to add a new dynamic to the relationship, and openly started lamenting not having young kids around the house, so I think I did the right thing. With all that said I already have 2 kids in their teens, one boy and one girl. Happy, healthy, and well adjusted. I always wanted kids and couldn't be happier with my own. I probably wouldn't have done it if I didn't have kids yet but that's me, GYOW. As far as the procedure it was nothing. The recovery was about 6 months of occasionally achy nuts (but that beats 18 years am I right). I have 2 small scars maybe 3 or 4 mm around. No noticeable change in the amount of ejaculate. I can still shoot, I noticed someone here said they couldn't.
