Didn't he rape her in the original story?
[–]wassaaaap31 points32 points33 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Literally, and she woke up to the pains of childbirth

yes.
Italian writer Giambattista Basile’s original version of Sleeping Beauty, written in the 17th Century, has the comatose princess being repeatedly raped by the king who comes across her and then giving birth to his children, all while still asleep.
She finally wakes up when one of her children sucks an enchanted splinter out of her finger and, in revenge, the queen attempts to get the king to EAT his kids.
and little mermaid is almost as bad

So this is where FilmCow got their inspiration.
[–]geralt_targaryen0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I can't remember the name but there were a few horror stories about this kind of thing in the 90s with girls being raped in comas and getting pregnant which is how they caught the nurse.
[–]ItIsABear17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The originals for all of those stories are dark as fuck. So it's creepy that they were all adapted into childs films (that, even though they're considered kids films, are extremely dark and disturbing).

Bus, Train, Girls are Unlimited. No need to destroy life for anyone Specific.
[–]Bienenmaul0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
would you say the same with men?
[–]Throwseph1208092 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Men aren't weaponizing false accusations en masse to destroy the lives and livelihoods of women with whom they have a disagreement.
[–]Bienenmaul0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
yeah ok but honestly, not every woman is like that. I bet there are also men like this
I really like this sub but sometimes I really think people are crying around too much and don't work on problems they have
[–]Throwseph1208091 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
yeah ok but honestly, not every woman is like that.
Not every 'x' fallacy. It goes without saying that not every woman presses false allegations against men. But there are many who do, and it only takes one to destroy a man's life or at least livelihood.
I bet there are also men like this.
You have to say 'I bet' because you can't point to a single instance of a man actually cynically using false allegations of sexual assault or physical abuse to intentionally damage a woman's reputation, career, or lock them up for life.
[–]Bienenmaul0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
nah I said bet because English isn't my mother tongue
[–]Throwseph1208090 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well do you honestly think there are lots of men who falsely accuse women of sexual assault in order to get them in trouble? Or how about men who falsely accuse their girlfriends or wives of sexual or physical abuse in order to use the law and government to 'punish' them purely out of spite and revenge?
I 'bet' you can't name one case, and would even have a hard time finding one by searching online. I can name you endless cases of women doing this just off the top of my head.. to say nothing of what I could find if I really researched it.

Kissing a sleeping woman isn't chivalry my guy. Not a hard concept to grasp. The story of sleeping beauty is fucked up.
[–]Throwseph1208094 points5 points6 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
No. But saving her from a perpetual coma is.
And men everywhere are becoming less and less willing to rush to a woman's aid when she is in danger or needs help, for fear of being accused of some type of assault, offense, or otherwise being maligned and unappreciated. The news and internet are full of such stories.
[–]ReasonableRule0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He doesn't know that he's saving her in the original story (I think Disney polished it so he did know). In the context of the original story, he's just kissing her because he wants to kiss an unconscious woman, not to save her. The saving is incidental. If he knows its an entirely different story because the intent is to save her and the kissing is incidental.
I do agree that gender relations aren't very great right now, and that one man's life ruined by false accusations is too many. That being said, I do think people who subscribe to MGTOW ideology are limiting the happiness of their lives out of a fear of a very small minority of women. Making a false accusation is a psychopathic thing to do and I just can't imagine most women doing it.
I do wonder if the fear is about situations the woman perceived as assault and the man didn't, which is more a matter of teaching about consent and reading your partners signals (which can at times be difficult, but typically discomfort is obvious if you're looking). Life is complicated and people can be difficult, but I don't personally think that justifies giving up.

femicunts are bashing the sleeping beauty movies for being toxic masculinity and sexual assault
[–]DaEvilGenius880 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
So I take it you disagree?
[–]Belrick_NZ2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
do i need a cunts permisdion to catch her as shes falling to her otherwise death?
the concept is retarded but what it does expose is how equally retarded the metoo whinegent is. too great an emphasis on touch.
[–]ReasonableRule-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Catching a woman who's falling to her death and kissing an unconscious woman are very much not the same thing
[–]Throwseph1208092 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The Prince in the story didn't make the rules to break the spell. That was the evil witch.
[–]Belrick_NZ0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
defintion of a cunt: making a claim without explanation
go on fucker. explain how saving a life with hand grabs is not the same as saving a life with a lip grab
good fucking luck explaining that
[–]ReasonableRule0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
In the original story the Prince doesn't know that kissing her will wake her up, he's just sexually assaulting her and it happens to wake her up. If you catch a woman falling to her death, the intent of your actions is unambiguous. That's why it's different. If he knew and his intent with the kiss was to save her life, then the actions would be equivalent.
Imagine having to resort to calling someone a cunt because your worldview is so narrow and illogical wowie.
[–]Belrick_NZ0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Oh bs. Those tales dont even have a prince and his name was Troylus.
Many variations of the story, like all femicunts you pick ones that suit your agenda not the sleeping beauty from brothers grimm made into movies by disney
[–]ReasonableRule0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Jesus fucking christ. Why is it controversial to you to condemn kissing a sleeping woman for the sake of kissing her? In variations of the story where he's doing it to save her obviously it's okay. In the grimm version he doesn't know kissing her will save her.
You sound like a miserable old git anyways, calling all women cunts, so there's no real point in trying to speak reasonably to you.
[–]Belrick_NZ0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
kissing her to save her life...
you went back 600 years of fairy tales to find regutation. very dishonest as per feminist doctrine.

So, I don’t know if anyone here reads manga, but there’s a manga Called “Shield Hero” something, and essentially this dude wakes up in a new fantasy filled world and he has all this excitement and happiness, and he’s given some money by the king to equip himself. And the kings daughter agrees to help him.
If we fast forward, day after he wakes up and the Kings daughter has accused him of forcing himself on her (I want to be clear this guy is heart of Gold and didn’t even think of it), and the entire kingdom turns against him, and she gets off Scot free. And the rest of the story he spends paranoid and constantly aware of everything.
Ignore princesses, focus on yourself

Great anime. I remember that some femi-orcs where complaining of "muhsexism" and wanted to ban it. But Japan is immune (for the moment) to Western feminism.
[–]ItIsABear1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That was always such a weird story. Disney's fucking weird, with how their stories are always obsessed on subtle sexual innuendos, and murder, and all that. And then here, you also have the guy making out with a corpse. How are they considered kids films?!
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]DeathtotheCavalry0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's amazing how girls complain they can't find a boyfriend when (1) there's MGTOW and (2) there are simps who would think like this.
