I dont want to grow old. I mean, theres a part of me that does, but logically, i dont see myself caring much past 65. Ive watched my parents go downhill into their 70's, and honestly, doesn't seem like that great a life. My dad especially, i get the vibe he's just waiting to die.

Id rather die while im still young enough to take care of myself. Of course, that could be the vanity of youth talking, when the time comes i hope i feel the same way.

I can understand it to a certain extent. Ofc a married guy is healthier than one who's been taken to the cleaners and dont have to work 16 hours a day to pick himself up from that financial rape.

My guess is that guys that never married are even healthier.

The problem with statistics is that it's easy to lie with them. It's not marriage -> health, long life. In reality it often good health (genes, that would make one live long and healthy anyways) -> better marriage material -> marriage. Overinterpretation of statistics or simply wrong interpretation.

There comes a point when putting the cart before the horse is nothing but a bald face lie. Women are attracted to good genes and wealth. That is the reason why men who are married are statistically wealthier and live longer. This is obvious.

Marriage does not create wealth or health. It destroys those things. This is more than compensated for by gold digging, especially when you think about the extremes. How many women marry homeless guys? How long do homeless guys live for? What is their net worth? Remember that most homeless people are men.
