RedPill is once again a source of rather hilarious entertainment.

What is it this time?

It's getting validation from what a 12 year old boy (and an apparently mediocre, rather sheltered one that has been raised on TV) would think is "cool/awesome". Oh, and the 12 year old is also "imaginary".

And no I am not making this up, the post even has the following line emphasized and bolded and stated as THE summary:

A child’s perception of you is the ultimate litmus test.

Yup. That's right... That's where the "validation" is going to come from -- these guys are trying to impress an imaginary 12 year old boy (apparently the one that still runs their brain) and is probably a clone of one they grew up watching on Disney TV (and probably DREAMED they themselves could be).

How about a musician in a real life rock band? Wow!

Or you’re a chef who can prepare the most delicious food for adults. Neat!

Perhaps you’re a world traveler who seduces women. Awlright! (Do you touch their boobs?)

Or you’re that party guy, who is well connected and always has tons of people over having fun. Cool!

Maybe you’re a powerful community leader, perhaps even the mayor. Sweet!

While I rather doubt that the 12 year old (at least the kind this fellow is talking about) would be impressed with the "chef" thing, or with the "Mayor" bit either; the rest of it is probably pretty accurate (again, especially if the 12 year old boy in question has been raised by a TV).

But note what is missing here; versus what is present.

What is present is the kind of stuff that DOES impress a generally ignorant 12 year old boy -- basically it's all "college FRAT house" kind of stuff (and then the inane "American Pie" movie kind).

What is MISSING is anything that REAL MEN do; actual productive work. Anything that would impress an intelligent & knowledgeable 12 year old boy (i.e. one who really wants to BECOME a full "adult"). There is no:

  • Wow you mean you not only RUN, but you can tear apart and FIX that big piece of construction/farming machinery! Can you show me how to drive it? Can you show me how it works/ how you take it apart/fix it?

  • Woah, you actually BUILD HOUSES??? Neato. Can I watch?

  • You mean you actually not only FLY airplanes, but you DESIGN and build them? [faints]

  • Etc. I could go on, but I think you get the point.

Because once again the "redpill" formula is all about either appearances (superficial stuff), or about WOMEN (and generally fairly low value ones at that: I mean "touching boobies"? Seriously?), or worse about their extremely erroneous ideas of "power" (Mayor? LOL.)

Now to be fair, the entry makes some decent points when it comes to denigrating the stereotypical millennial "couch potato stoner living in their parents basement" -- thought that's not exactly a hard target.

But conversely the dude who posting this is doing so under the account name of "fap_the_pain_away" so one wonders if the person he is really describing in the second half... is not so much a stereotype, as himself (i.e. he may be an "adult" in years, but in reality he has been living a prolonged childhood, and with "red pill" he seems to have progressed just (barely) past that stage into a slightly older "adolescent".

One who dreams of becoming (or at least impressing his former self with the image of being) a college frat boy "stud" ala "Animal House" or "Van Wilder" or whatever other tripe he's picked up as an "ideal" from Hollywood...

But he's still ENTIRELY clueless about anything that a REAL adult man does in life.

And of course he's descended in a certain fashion -- no longer just seeking to impress women, or even his own age mates (his lifting bros) with his "notch count" and how much he "benches" -- to now trying to "impress" a 12 year old boy... or at least what he thinks would impress an imaginary one.

That's what apparently now lies on the "red pill" path of getting your "validation" from others.
