What “benefits?” You can get a job at the post office with a high school degree and get actual benefits. The military pays less and treats you worse. The gi bill gets revoked if for any reason, like say permanent injury, you don’t complete your full tour of duty. You are lucky to earn $20k a year.

Because of a hypothetical "shit hits the fan" scenario? Tell you what, if shit truly hits the fan we'll all be conscripted at gunpoint anyways.
